My Natural CBD is happy to share a custom CBD Recipe create by The Medicine Chef Tina Martini!
I developed these double chocolate/mint brownie bites, to maximize the calming benefits of dark chocolate and CBD oil. Putting these two powerhouses together, means your serene happiness is only one bite away.
Preheat oven according to box instructions-
1 box Immaculate Fudge Brownie Scratch Mix
Make as directed on box with the addition of ½ cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips, and ½ tsp vanilla extract.
Be sure to mix chocolate chips into dry mix BEFORE adding wet ingredients. This will ensure chips are evenly distributed in batter and won’t sink.
Load batter into mini muffin pan. Fill cups ¾ full. Your going to hollow out the center of the muffin, for the CBD mint buttercream. So, you want them to rise above the pan.
Bake 8-10 minutes. Edges will look dry and top will crack. Do not over bake.
Let cool in pan on rack 5 minutes. Gently loosen edges with a butter or paring knife. Cool completely on rack. Prepare buttercream and ganache
Peppermint CBD Buttercream Filling- 300mg CBD Tincture used
2 cups powdered sugar
½ cup organic sweet cream salted butter or Earth Balance Vegan buttercream, softened
½ tsp vanilla
1 dropper full of My Natural CBD Peppermint CBD Oil
Place sugar, butter, and vanilla into a medium sized mixing bowl. Start mixer on low. Blend ingredients until everything is brought together. Gradually increase mixer speed and turn bowl so all areas of the ingredients are equally mixed and buttercream begins to lighten in color and texture. Stop mixer, add CBD oil, and slowly blend into frosting with mixer speed on medium-low. Cover with plastic wrap pressed down onto filling. Be sure to remove all air, when storing buttercream. Chill 10-15 minutes. When ready to fill brownie bites- Scrape all buttercream into the corner of a zip lock plastic bag or a piping bag. Don’t cut tip until ready to use.
1 cup dark chocolate chips
¾ cup heavy cream or full fat coconut milk
¾ dropper My Natural Peppermint CBD Oil
pinch pink salt or other good quality salt
Andes Creme De Menthe brand after dinner mints, roughly chopped
Ready to assemble!
Cut a hollow in the top of the brownie bite. Don’t cut all the way through. Massage buttercream to soften a little, and cut small opening in corner. Pipe filling into the hollow in your brownie bite. Now, you’re a pastry chef! Fill all bites and set on plate in the fridge. Make ganache:
Place chocolate chips into a medium mixing bowl. Heat cream or coconut milk to almost boiling.
Pour hot liquid over chocolate chips. Allow to stand 5 minutes. Whisk gently to bring chocolate and cream together into a smooth, glaze. Whisk slowly to create a silky shine. You’re not incorporating air. Add a pinch of salt and the CBD oil. Stir to both incorporate the ingredients and to slightly cool your coating. Get your filled bites out of the fridge. Hold the bite in one hand and spoon ganache over the top of the bite to coat completely. Poke a couple pieces of your chopped Andes mints into the top for your garnish, and allow to set up in the fridge for 30 minutes. Now comes the hard part...Who you gonna share these with?
